Suicide Response
Postvention refers to activities that reduce risk and promote healing after a death by suicide. Suicide has a ripple effect pulsing throughout not only survivors, but through the community. Suicide clusters or suicide contagion are risks to the community following a death by suicide. This is how postvention can become prevention by providing support and resources to reach those at risk who may be influenced by a suicide death.
